episode summary
1)
After one of their pilot shoots down an mysterious aircraft over Scotland, the RAF is determined to find out who or what was flying the plane. Meanwhile, a group from SETI is recruited to investigate a possible extraterrestrial message.
2)
A UFO is shot down over Scotland while it was sending a signal into space. Frustrated by the RAF cover-up, the pilot who downed the craft teams up with a scientist who caught its transmission to find out what craft was.
fun and viewer review
This series is fantastic. Proof that, even with a low budget, you can make damn good science fiction by focusing ON the science fiction. The aliens seem genuinely alien. The human response seems realistic. The characters are believable. Good writing and good acting are the keys too often missed.
